My Mom's Group

Every Thursday a group of us stay-at-home mom's meets with our kiddies. It's such a great little group that we have. There's getting to be so many of us and that means lot's of little ones too! :) So much fun though. Great to break up the week and just be around other mom's who can relate to each other. Us mom's are all about the same age and our babies range anywhere from about 4 months to 3 years of age so there's certainly different levels of experience there!

Here's a few pictures from today's get together. Oh and one other thing...I am so excited to announce that Cohen is crawling!! Yay Cohen! He army crawls but man is he fast. It makes me giggle every time I watch him go. He's so much happier now. Him and Ethan seem to be playing more together now too which I'm sure has a lot to do with Cohen being able to go where Ethan goes. Cohen also just started holding his own bottle. These are a few of the things that we have been waiting for for a LONG time now so I think that's where all this excitement comes from!! Oh and Ethan got his first "Goose Egg" on his forehead today:( He was standing and holding onto an excersaucer chillin' with his buddies Eli & Avery when he took a tumble suddenly into a chair. He was tough though. Poor little guy.

This is our group. We call ourselves the "Go Mammas"!! (We are missing one girl and her two children here)
A full house.

Our day today

We took the boys to an ice cream parlor called Graeters tonight and they had their very first taste of ice cream!! They liked it but didn't have the same reaction I thought they would. I thought they would be like "give me more" but they weren't!!
Me and my boys.
Just happy babies sitting in the big boy highchairs.
Cohen's reaction to his 1st taste of ice cream...
And Ethan's reaction!!
Cohen liked feeding it to himself (I think he just liked holding the spoon more than anything)

Daddy & the boys
Ethan listening to daddy reading to him
So proud he's standing
Going from holding onto the excersaucer to holding on to the Jumperoo
Cohen enjoying the water out of his sippy cup

Out for a walk with mommy

All of these pictures were from yesterday. I've been trying to get out walking with the boys every day now that the weather is a little nicer (not so darn hot and muggy!!) so some of these were taken along our walk. We stopped and took some photos in the grass.

Goof ball
My little man
We barricaded the boys from going into the kitchen area and away from the stairs. Ethan tried following our cat up the stairs the other day so we would like him to just stay away from them for awhile!!
Dinner time!! The boys had just finished eating and were a mess. I went to the kitchen to get a cloth and jumped out and with the camera from behind the wall and said "BOO"! and they laughed their little heads off and I got a great picture out of it!
Ethan now enjoys crawling under and pulling up on the Jumperoo and exersaucer more than anything.
Looks like they are both deep in thought.

I love your eyes Cohen!
Such sweet innocents

Cooking out at the neighbors

We went over to the neighbors to cook out last night and all of a sudden there was a huge thunder storm that seemed to come out of nowhere! It was pouring so hard it just looked like someone was pouring big buckets of water down on everything. But Cy was a champion griller and braved the rain! I wished I would have taken pictures of him out there holding his umbrella!! Needless to say we ended up eating inside. Here are a few pictures...Uncle Josh and Isabella
Cohen trying out Isabella's toy.
Ethan having a conversation with Aunt Sarah. He had just finished eating puffs and cheese so his shirt looks horribly dirty! YUCK!

Cohen's First Haircut

He absolutely had a blast there. He just loved sitting in his little taxi while the lady cut his hair. There were other kids in there who were crying and screaming but he just sat there!!

Some of what we've been up to

It's been WAY too long since I've posted anything on here. I guess the days go by fast when you have kids. The days just seem to fill up quick! The boys are doing very well and growing way too fast! Ethan is a crawling machine and gets around so quick. He pulls himself up on everything and has even taken a few steps holding onto the furniture. Cohen is not crawling but gets around quick!! He rolls or scoots to where he wants to go and he's so quick it's scary!! We are still working with a physical therapist trying to get him crawling and to loosen up his stiff neck muscles. Cohen also recently (Saturday) got his first haircut at a salon. It's a just for kids place called Cookie Cutters and they were great there. He was such a good little boy and didn't cry or anything. Just smiled and was happy sitting in his little taxi while the lady shampooed and then cut his hair. He looks more like a little boy now and not as much like a baby. :(

Cohen's head is making great progress since he's had the helmet. It's hard to believe that he's already been in it for 2 months now. We are very happy with the results so far. He is still doing very well with it and we are so proud of him. We also have Ethan's second (and hopefully final) surgery scheduled for November 16th. We are glad that it should be the last surgery. Of course we are nervous and anxious about it but we have a lot of faith in the doctors and nurses at Children's so we know that he will be in good hands.

We've been taking the boys to the pool almost every weekend and they really love it. They are such little water babies. We've even dunked them under a few times (which I was afraid to do at first) and they were fine with it. We've also just been taking them to the park here and there to go on the swings and go for walks.

We leave to go to Canada on October 2nd and I am SO excited about that. I haven't been home in almost two years now so I miss everyone that I didn't get to see last year when the boys were born and of course I just miss my family so much. I'm a little nervous about flying with the boys but I think we'll be OK. It will be the 1st birthday on October 7th so they will be having a birthday party up there which will be a lot of fun. It will be so great to see my friends little ones who I haven't got to meet yet.

Below are a few pictures of the boys. Take care. :)

Cohen is going to be a pumpkin for Halloween! We couldn't wait to try them on them!

Ethan is going to be a turtle for Halloween!!

Ethan just laid in Cohen's lap like this this. He's always been cuddly toward Cohen ever since they were itty bitty babies. Cohen always seemed like he could care less!! :) He'd rather laugh at his brother from a distance!!

Ducky was playing with Ethan because attached to the string is a helium filled balloon!
Looks like he wants to escape.
Hello mama!
Just before he figured out he could pull himself up to a stand.
